EAST LONDON- Excitinng news from the Port of East London as the Transnet National Ports Authority officially unveils the upgraded automotive berth.
This major development is set to boost efficiency, increase capacity and ramp up automotive volume throughput at the port.
Thanks to this upgrade, the Port of East London can now welcome two state-of-the-art automotive vessels over 200 meters in length at the same time.
Port Manager Dr. Siphiwe Mthembu describes it as a game-changer, saying, “Having a second berth means double the automotive car carriers can now dock at our port.”
